Dr. Jitendra Singh Chairs 16th Pension Adalat to Resolve Pensioners’ Grievances

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh chaired the 16th Pension Adalat on May 13, 2026, at Vigyan Bhawan to address long-pending pension-related grievances of retired government employees. The initiative reflects the government’s focus on improving “Ease of Living” through faster and coordinated resolution of pension disputes.

  • The 16th Pension Adalat was organized in New Delhi under the leadership of Dr. Jitendra Singh to provide direct grievance redressal for pensioners.
  • The session focused on resolving 985 pension-related complaints that had remained pending for more than 45 days on the CPENGRAMS portal.
  • Cases from 37 Ministries and Departments were reviewed during the Adalat, with a significant number of grievances related to the Defence and Home Ministries.
  • Since the launch of the Pension Adalat initiative in 2017, nearly 27,812 pension cases have been formally taken up for examination and resolution.
  • Official data presented during the event showed an overall success rate of 71.72 percent, with approximately 19,948 grievances resolved directly during proceedings.
